Apple introduced HomeView, a new Apple TV 4K and the HomePod mini 2 this week as part of its “Welcome home” product campaign. The company also began accepting iPhone Duo pre-orders.

The $299 HomeView has a 7-inch Liquid Retina display, Siri AI support and tabletop or wall-mounted configurations. It recognizes multiple users and adjusts how information is presented based on the viewer’s distance; launch is scheduled for November 13.

New Apple TV gets the A19 chip

Apple updated the Apple TV 4K for the first time in four years. The box now has an A19 chip, built-in microphones for hands-free Siri and a new Siri Remote with Find My, Precision Finding and a speaker. The price has risen to $299, with a November 13 launch.

HomePod mini 2 launches without Siri AI

The $149 HomePod mini 2 uses an S10 chip for real-time audio processing. Its Sound Glow feature lights and animates the top of the speaker in sync with music, using colors from the album artwork. Pre-orders are open and sales begin October 30; Siri AI will arrive later through a software update.
