Apple has officially unveiled the HomeView smart display and opened pre-orders at $299. Customer deliveries will begin November 13.

HomeView has a 7-inch square Liquid Retina display and comes in two versions: one with a speaker base and another designed for wall mounting.

Display and mounting options

The display supports True Tone, reaches 500 nits of brightness and can dim to 0.3 nits. The tabletop model comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space gray; the wall-mounted version is available in space gray and silver.

Apple offers three Schneider Home mounts for the wall-mounted model. Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector starts at $59.95, while Power Mount AC Wired starts at $79.95; both are available to order in the U.S. Power Mount PoE Wired is scheduled for early 2027 at $129.95.

Personalization and Siri

HomeView adjusts the amount of information shown based on the viewer’s distance: simpler information from across the room and more detail up close. It can recognize up to six people and provide each with a personalized Home Screen containing apps and widgets.

The device supports Siri AI. Users with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad can access personal context, while others can use Siri for world knowledge and music discovery.

Camera, audio and smart-home tools

HomeView includes a Center Stage camera for FaceTime calls and an audio system with two full-range drivers, a down-firing woofer and two force-canceling passive radiators.

The Home Camera face can livestream up to nine video feeds simultaneously, while Home Modular provides access to smart-home accessories. Apple also describes interactive faces, shared photo albums and Snoopy animations tied to the time of day, weather, sporting events and holidays.

HomeView is currently unavailable in the European Union because Siri AI is not available there. Apple said it is working with the EU to find a way forward.
