Customers without a pre-order will be able to try to buy the iPhone Duo at Apple stores on launch day. Apple marketing SVP Greg Joswiak confirmed that some units would be available in stores in an interview with TechRadar.

Joswiak said Apple had not sent every device to pre-order customers and had kept some for its stores. He described pre-order demand last week as extraordinary.

Apple had earlier told 9to5Mac that walk-in availability would be limited in stores in the United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Macao, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, the UK and most stores in Italy.

Joswiak is scheduled to attend the launch at Apple’s Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York. The report said other Apple executives, including CEO John Ternus, may also be there.
