Customers in Australia and New Zealand have begun receiving their iPhone Duo preorders. Early owners are posting photos and first impressions on the MacRumors forums, Instagram, Reddit and other social networks.

The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable device, priced from $1,999. It has a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display.

### Launch-day store availability

Apple says stores in select countries will have limited quantities for walk-in buyers. The company expects that stock to sell quickly, citing what it described as “extraordinary” demand.

Walk-in purchases will be available at Apple Stores in the United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, select stores in Italy, Macao on launch day only, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye and the UK.

There will be no walk-in sales in France, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand or the United Arab Emirates. Customers in those locations will need a reservation to collect their device from an Apple Store.

### Pickup reservations and delivery estimates

Apple’s website advises customers to check back on Saturday, October 24 for pickup reservations. Online shipping estimates moved to January 25 shortly after preorders opened and have remained there.

Sales and deliveries are scheduled to begin in Asia, the Middle East and Europe after Australia and New Zealand, followed by North America. Some Apple Stores worldwide are opening early at 8:00 a.m. local time. The source says some carriers and large retailers may also have launch-day stock.
