Apple has restored iPhone Duo store pickup reservations in the U.S. and Canada. The option returned today at about 5:10–5:15 a.m. Pacific Time (12:10–12:15 UTC), but most stores have no pickup slots available today.

Customers can check availability on the iPhone Duo order page by choosing a color and storage configuration, proceeding to checkout, selecting in-store pickup and entering a ZIP code. The tool shows available models and reservation times when inventory is offered.

Pickup returns after a gap

Store pickup was available for only a few minutes after pre-orders opened on Friday, October 16, then disappeared until its latest return. The system has also resumed in Australia, the U.K., Germany, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, China and some other countries.

Demand strains available inventory

A few hours after pre-orders began, Apple described demand for the iPhone Duo as “nothing short of extraordinary.” The company said delivery estimates had moved into late January and that it was working to meet demand as quickly as possible.

Long queues formed at Apple Stores in many countries after pre-orders opened. Some customers managed to buy an iPhone Duo without a reservation, but pickup availability remains limited and may require frequent checks of Apple’s tool.
