Apple has begun rolling out version 2.4 of Final Cut Camera, its professional video app for iPhone. The update adds a redesigned interface and support for iPhone 18 Pro camera features.
The main addition is support for the iPhone 18 Pro’s Fusion Main camera variable aperture, ranging from f/1.48 to f/4. Users can choose shutter-priority, aperture-priority or fully manual modes.
The update also enables Cinematic effects for regular video, including footage recorded in ProRes and Apple Log. When editing in Final Cut Pro, creators can adjust focus points and depth of field.
Redesigned controls and interface
Final Cut Camera now has a more customizable design and easier access to different settings. Apple presents the app as a tool for professional recording and for capturing multiple angles through Live Multicam with Final Cut Pro for iPad.
Apple announced Final Cut Camera in May 2024 and released it a month later. Version 2.4 is rolling out through the App Store.
The app requires an Apple Creator Studio subscription, priced at $12.99 per month or $129 per year.
