Nomad unveils eight iPhone 18 Pro case series with drop protection up to 4.6 meters

Nomad has introduced an updated case lineup for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. It includes eight series, ranging from a slim leather back to a reinforced case rated for drops of up to 4.6 meters.

The company confirms full interchangeability between corresponding iPhone 17 and iPhone 18 cases. Every model supports MagSafe and Qi2 and has a microfiber interior, except for the Modern Leather Folio, which uses a leather lining.

Leather models and the slim back

The Traditional Leather Case fully covers the phone in natural leather, but Nomad does not specify a drop rating for it. The Modern Leather Case and Modern Leather Folio use a polycarbonate frame, a TPU bumper and a 2.4-meter drop rating; the Folio also includes compartments for cards and cash.

The Mag Leather Back is the thinnest option, with a 2.2-millimeter back panel. It covers only the rear of the phone, leaving the sides and buttons exposed, so it does not provide drop protection.

Reinforced and sport cases

The Rugged Case combines a polycarbonate frame, reinforced corners, a PET panel and a 3.3-millimeter bumper. Nomad rates it for drops of up to 4.6 meters and includes replaceable Stellar Orange buttons.

The Rugged Leather Case uses the same construction with an outer Horween leather layer. The Sport Case is rated for 2.4-meter drops, while the Clear Leather Case combines transparent polycarbonate with a Horween leather insert and carries the same 2.4-meter rating.

Materials and screen protection

Nomad offers Horween leather on several models, including Burgundy, Olde Dublin and Camino variants. The company also says limited colors will not be restocked after they sell out.

The separate ProShield screen protector uses Durable Glass by Corning, an aluminosilicate material. Nomad claims up to 2.5 times greater strength and up to three times better scratch resistance than standard tempered glass; those figures are manufacturer claims, not results from independent testing.
