Dacity Coin’s market cap on Solana jumped 2,900% in an hour after the final GTA VI trailer was released, rising from $104,000 to $3.18 million. The token’s name appears for about two seconds on an aircraft fuselage in the trailer.

Its market cap later fell to about $1.5 million, down 53% from its peak. Rockstar has not commented on whether it has any connection to the token.

Rockstar described the 90-second trailer as captured entirely in-game on PS5. In the aircraft scene, a man stands on the wing and lights a neon-pink flare. GTA VI is scheduled for release on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Token launched before the trailer

Dacity Coin was created on Pump.fun on October 11, five days before the trailer premiered. A video posted earlier by the group Cyberleek had already mentioned the token, but only a small number of traders noticed it. The token had shown no significant price movement before the trailer.

Decrypt reported that one wallet turned $1,912 into $44,000, while 24 traders each made more than $10,000.

The in-game coin may be fictional

According to GTA Wiki and leaks, protagonist Lucia is asked to skydive in a publicity stunt for the AudaCity brand to attract investment in Dacity Coin. This may parody promotional stunts by memecoin traders, but Rockstar has not explained the scene. Decrypt called the appearance the first credible sign that cryptocurrency will feature in GTA VI.

There is no confirmation that Rockstar created or backs the Solana token, or authorized use of the brand. It is also unconfirmed whether players will be able to pay with real cryptocurrency in the game.

Cyberleek’s earlier token

Starting on August 18, Cyberleek posted material it described as GTA VI footage. On October 10, the group promised to publish a complete build of the game if its CYBERLEEK memecoin reached a $30 million market cap. On October 14, with its market cap at about $1.26 million, the group said the leaks would stop.

Decrypt has reported that Epic Games previously said it did not support any real cryptocurrency or memecoin associated with Fortnite. That statement followed the emergence of a token linked to the game’s fictional currency, Dill Bits.
