Apple shared an Instagram gallery of six photos taken with the iPhone Duo. American photographers Jake Michaels and Jason Nocito shot the images as part of a project commissioned by the company.
The gallery presents the phone’s photography capabilities, although the iPhone Duo does not include a dedicated telephoto camera. Its main camera supports “optical-quality 2× Telephoto.”
iPhone Duo camera and zoom
The device has a 12-megapixel front-facing Center Stage camera in the outer display. The lack of a dedicated telephoto camera may be a deciding factor for some customers.
By comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro models can reach up to 8× optical zoom. Apple did not specify whether any individual gallery image was captured using the 2× mode.
Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo will begin Friday, October 16, at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time (12:00 p.m. UTC). Apple provided that start time in its announcement.
