Apple unveils foldable iPhone Duo plus iPhone 18 Pro, Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 — release dates and prices

Apple held an event where it announced several new products: the foldable iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5.

Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo start on October 16, with a launch on October 23. iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are available for pre-order now and will launch on September 18.

The iPhone 18 Pro models include a smaller Dynamic Island that can display up to three Live Activities and use the A20 Pro chip with a 6‑core CPU, 7‑core GPU and 32‑core Neural Engine; Apple states sustained performance is up to 40% faster than the A19 Pro, aided by a much larger vapor chamber cooling system.

Apple Watch Series 12 features the new S11 chip, an updated health sensing system and is offered in aluminum, titanium and ceramic finishes. Aluminum models come in Space Gray, Black, Light Gold and Dark Bronze and gain Ceramic Shield, which Apple says makes the screen 60% tougher. Series 12 starts at $399, is available for pre-order and launches on September 18.

Apple Watch Ultra 4 also uses S11, has a redesigned health sensing system and a larger battery that Apple says delivers two days of battery life. Apple provides battery figures of up to 18 hours of workout tracking with full GPS and heart‑rate monitoring or 45 hours in the maximum extended workout mode. Ultra 4 is available for pre-order with a starting price of $799 and launches on September 18.

AirPods 5 come with Active Noise Cancellation starting at $129; a $149 variant with a Wireless Charging Case adds swipe volume controls and longer battery life. Apple says AirPods 5 remove up to 50% more external noise than AirPods 4 with ANC and include redesigned acoustic architecture and updated Adaptive EQ. Pre-orders are open and availability begins September 18.
