Apple adds redesigned Focus controls to the iPhone Duo Lock Screen
A new Focus toggle has been spotted on the iPhone Duo Lock Screen simulator. It can turn an active mode off and back on without unlocking the device, adding to the iOS 27 changes Apple is preparing for the phone.
A new Focus control has been spotted on the Lock Screen simulator for the upcoming iPhone Duo. The toggle sits above the camera and flashlight icons.
The feature appears when a Focus mode is already active. It lets users switch that mode off without unlocking the phone and turn it back on again until they leave the Lock Screen. The active Focus is also shown in the status bar above the clock.
iOS 27 changes for iPhone Duo
The control is part of software changes linked to the iPhone Duo’s unusual form factor. Apple has also moved the dock to the right side of the outer display, while the outer screen defocuses and effectively becomes transparent as the phone opens.
Developer pdfu spotted the toggle while testing new features in the iPhone Duo simulator. The developer has previously shown StandBy views for the iPhone Duo and HomePad, along with HomePad color options.
The source does not say whether the control will be included in the final version of iOS 27.
