Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother centers on Latif, played by Mahershala Ali. A former Marine, Latif continues to work as a killer in the United States for wealthy clients, including Mike (Laith Nakli).

After his wife Khadijah (Shakirah DeMesier) dies suddenly, Latif becomes the sole parent of three children: adolescent Fatiha (Adia), devout young son Qadir (Jahleel Kamara) and infant Aziza. He must provide for them and urgently find breast milk because the baby cannot digest formula.

Latif makes a dangerous enemy in Pastor Kwan, portrayed by John Cho, a troubled veteran who claims religious authority and seeks power; director–writer Bassam Tariq positions Kwan against Latif’s survival-driven violence. Giancarlo Esposito plays Abdul Malik, the disapproving father-in-law, and Tramell Tillman appears as Latif’s brother Talib.

The film foregrounds family and faith, depicting a Black Muslim man tenderly within his household while also showing his lethal role in a criminal underworld. The review highlights Cho’s performance as a compelling villain and describes Ali’s casting as a leading role befitting his stature, referencing his prior films Moonlight and Green Book.
