Wicked live-to-film concerts to launch 2027 tour at Radio City on Jan. 23, 2027

A series of live-to-film concerts of Wicked and Wicked: For Good will officially premiere at Radio City Music Hall on Eastern Time: Jan. 23, 2027 (UTC−5), with a preview set for Pacific Time: Jan. 16, 2027 (UTC−8) in San Francisco. Universal Film teams with Universal Destinations & Experiences and Hurwitz Concerts to present films screened on HD while orchestras play the scores live.

An official premiere of the live-to-film concert series for Wicked and Wicked: For Good is scheduled at Radio City Music Hall on Eastern Time: Jan. 23, 2027 (UTC−5). The opening presentation will be Wicked: Part One In Concert.

A special preview is set for Pacific Time: Jan. 16, 2027 (UTC−8) in San Francisco. The concerts will project the films on an HD screen while orchestras perform Stephen Schwartz’s songs and the underscore by Schwartz and John Powell live to picture.

The events are produced by Universal Film in partnership with Universal Destinations & Experiences. Universal Film has also partnered with Justin Hurwitz’s company Hurwitz Concerts, which has toured La La Land in Concert and Whiplash in Concert since 2023 and now joins production of films not scored by Hurwitz.

Tour dates were announced alongside the collaboration; Wicked: Part One In Concert is listed as the first event in the series.
