Verizon will charge $10 per month for iPhone Handoff, a feature that lets customers use one phone number across two compatible iPhones.

The carrier said the feature will work with the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro, while providing access to Verizon’s 5G network on both devices.

How iPhone Handoff works

Users can switch the active status between a main iPhone and a companion iPhone. A phone number can be active on only one device at a time.

Verizon has not given a launch date but said support is coming soon. Apple previously said the carrier would adopt the feature before the end of the year.

Pricing from other carriers

T-Mobile already supports iPhone Handoff in the U.S. for $5 per month. AT&T has indicated that it has no imminent plans to support the feature.

U.K. carrier EE will soon add support: customers on Full Works Plus will receive it at no extra cost, while other users will pay £5 per month. Deutsche Telekom in Germany charges €6.95, but includes the feature in its MagentaMobil L and XL plans.
