Verizon sets $10 monthly fee for Apple’s iPhone Handoff feature
Verizon will charge $10 a month for iPhone Handoff, an iOS 27 feature that lets customers use one phone number across two compatible iPhones. The price is twice T-Mobile’s fee, while Deutsche Telekom offers it through MultiSIM for €6.95 a month.
Verizon has confirmed that Apple’s iPhone Handoff will cost its customers $10 per month. The feature will work on compatible iPhone models running iOS 27.
iPhone Handoff allows one Verizon phone number to be used across two iPhones, with customers able to switch the active device at any time. Verizon says users will retain access to its 5G network on both devices.
Carrier pricing for iPhone Handoff
Verizon announced its price after other carriers disclosed their plans. T-Mobile charges $5 a month, while Deutsche Telekom offers the feature through MultiSIM for €6.95 per month unless it is already included in a customer’s plan.
Apple provided more details about iPhone Handoff at last month’s “Surprise and Shine” event. The feature was first previewed at WWDC, with T-Mobile and Deutsche Telekom named as initial supporters and Verizon and EE expected to follow by the end of the year.
AT&T’s position
AT&T does not currently appear to plan support for iPhone Handoff, CNET reported. The carrier acknowledged the feature’s potential benefits but said it was focused on its existing eSIM activation and transfer options.
