Twitch CEO Dan Clancy said in a Bloomberg interview that Grand Theft Auto 6 multiplayer will launch in 2027.
Clancy said Twitch had spent substantial time discussing Rockstar Games’ plans and how the company could engage creators. He expects a major increase in activity around GTA 6, followed by an even larger rise when multiplayer launches the following year.
Rockstar has not confirmed the timing
Rockstar Games has made no official announcement about GTA 6 multiplayer. It has also not explained what will happen to GTA Online or when the PC version of GTA 6 will be released.
Clancy is presumably not authorized to announce Rockstar’s plans, but his comments to Bloomberg were presented confidently rather than as speculation. Twitch and Rockstar were contacted for comment.
