White House removes 'Build the Wall' Tetris‑style game after Tetris Company objects

The White House has removed the Tetris‑style game 'Build the Wall' from its website. The arcade section now shows a 404 error where the game had been and continues to host other parody titles — Flappy Bill, Rio Run, Supply Line and Trump Savings Tycoon — plus a placeholder for a game described as coming soon.

The takedown followed a public distancing by Tetris Company, which said: "At Tetris we believe in the power of connection and bringing people together, not dividing them. To our fans everywhere: we love you, and see you, and we're grateful to have you in our community." The company added it was not involved in creating Build the Wall and that it "take[s] copyright infringement very seriously."

The removal appears linked to Tetris Company's statement; the archived White House arcade no longer shows Build the Wall. Earlier reporting noted that in Build the Wall players stacked bricks along the "Southern border" to repel invading zombies.

Other parody games remain playable on the site, including Flappy Bill — a Flappy Bird variant featuring a bald eagle — alongside the other titles listed above. The report also recalls previous White House uses of video‑game memes to promote policy.
