SteelSeries has released the Aeon Pro, a controller that uses a dual dock to let users switch between Xbox and PC without re-pairing. The base station includes two USB inputs—one for PC and one for Xbox—to enable seamless switching between platforms.

The controller sits in the high-end price bracket at $260/£230/€260. A hands-on reviewer described a premium build with solid grips and comfortable button presses, while noting the ABXY buttons feel slightly mushy with noticeable pre-travel before the click.

Key features listed for the Aeon Pro are four back paddles, Hall-effect thumbsticks and triggers, the option to set triggers to instant-click actuation, replaceable thumbsticks with storage in the dock, hot-swappable batteries that charge in the base station, and an OLED screen. On PC the controller supports up to 1K polling.
