Square Enix Sets FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION Release Date: April 8, 2027

During PlayStation’s State of Play, Square Enix released a new trailer and extended gameplay for FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION and confirmed the launch date as April 8, 2027.

The publisher said the game will release in physical and digital editions on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store/Xbox on PC. Square Enix’s North American and Japanese sites list the same date and provide edition and DLC timing details.

Square Enix product pages also list Early Access beginning April 7, 2027 (00:00) for qualifying purchases. Xbox’s official announcements list the title for Spring 2027 and point to the April 8, 2027 release.

The new footage shows a more open planet to explore from the Highwind airship, traversal tools including a grappling gun, and the ability to freely swap the active character and party composition while exploring. The gameplay deep dive introduces playable Cid and Vincent and the FITS system assigning roles as Warrior, Knight, Black Mage and Summoner.

Square Enix detailed digital Premium and Premium Plus editions that include Early Access and a Story Expansion Pass with two story DLCs featuring Sephiroth and Vincent & the Turks. A FINAL FANTASY VII Remake Series Trilogy Edition is offered digitally for $84.99, granting immediate access to FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE and FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH plus a pre-order Summon Materia: Mecha-Chocobo & Moogle for REVELATION.

The company frames REVELATION as the concluding chapter of the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy and points players to the first two entries, which are available now and include Streamlined Progression options.
