Reddit user Clean-Market5761 has run an early build of Marvel’s Wolverine on a standard PC, despite the game still being regarded as a PS5 exclusive. The demonstration was posted on Reddit.
The build launches, allows the character to move and includes some functioning animations. It also crashes frequently, loads textures late and leaves some mechanics unusable.
How the code reached Windows
In December 2023, the Rhysida group attacked Sony and Insomniac Games and stole 1.7 TB of internal data. The haul included an early Marvel’s Wolverine build, before the studio had officially announced the game.
The hackers offered the archive for sale, and some of the material later spread online. Clean-Market5761 used code fragments and AI tools to adapt them for Windows.
The creator describes the result as a capabilities demonstration rather than a finished release. Sony and Insomniac Games have not commented on this port; they previously addressed the breach itself but have not publicly discussed the fate of individual stolen code fragments.
