A PC Gamer writer’s account of the first 30 minutes in Radiosol prompted several colleagues to buy the game immediately. It is a post-apocalyptic adventure about a small spider robot exploring the ruins of megastructures.

The menu lets players disable “hearing,” “life support” and “thinking.” Doing so removes the robot’s ability to hear, see and move, while disabling thought garbles the game’s text; death from sun exposure returns the character to the menu.

Radiosol costs $9 on Steam

Developer TripletConcept describes the game as a journey through a desolate world burned by a planetary cataclysm. The writer stresses that the account is a first impression rather than a review, while citing the jagged megastructures and $9 price as part of the appeal.

The player crosses a low-gravity desert, moving between shadows because prolonged exposure to direct sunlight is dangerous. At the point described, there is no combat: the robot is heading toward a pyramid for a final battle and searching for a “Megapol station” in the territory of the “Locus Group of Companies.”

Generative AI was used in Radiosol

The Moscow-based developer told Steam that generative AI was used for translations, but not to create audio or art. TripletConcept also said on X that AI was used for some coding and utility work, including handling Git merges.
