Ninjala producer Motoki Kaneda said he wants the franchise to develop over the coming decades. He described long-term growth as the measure of the series’ success.
In an interview shared by Anime Updates, Kaneda identified “longevity” as Ninjala’s main goal and said he wants the series to continue for “10 years, 20 years, and beyond.”
The next game on Nintendo Switch 2
The original Ninjala launched on Nintendo Switch in 2020. The next entry, Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet, is scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch 2 next year.
Kaneda said the series now consists of two games and that its focus is continuing to grow over the long term. The team has also previously discussed why the sequel is being developed as an open-world action game.
