The demo opens the expedition
Monster Hunter Wilds follows hunters investigating the Forbidden Lands, an unexplored region the guild enters after rescuing a boy named Nata. He says a mysterious monster attacked his village.
The region changes drastically as weather shifts suddenly. During the Fallow and Inclemency periods, monsters hunt in packs, while the Plenty periods bring richer and more abundant wildlife.
Players track and defeat monsters, then use materials from hunts to forge weapons and armor. Hunters must adapt their tactics to the creatures’ behavior and the changing environment.
Capcom also released a trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 version on October 19.
