Developer Scopely confirmed an official Monopoly Go crossover with The Simpsons, running June 3 through July 29. The event transforms seasonal boards into Springfield-themed maps and adds narrative Episodes and animated sequences tied to the show.

Players will encounter characters including Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Mr. Burns. Scopely worked with The Simpsons’ creative team on content, including a new animated short featuring Mr. Monopoly and Mr. Burns, and said the event contains many references and Easter Eggs, some appearing on Chance cards.

Scopely outlined the event features: Episodes are narrative encounters that play across seasonal boards, sticker sets and minigames and conclude with an animated short; each Episode has a limited-time sticker set with collectible art and rewards; every two weeks a new Springfield character will occupy the Free Parking tile as part of the Simpsons Run; shutdowns and heists receive Springfield-themed variants; and Go to Jail is altered to Bribe Wiggum, letting players bribe Chief Wiggum for a chance at a larger reward with added unpredictability.

The Chance card collection expands by more than 50 Simpsons-themed cards containing memes, references and one-liners from the show. Scopely noted this is The Simpsons’ first appearance in a mobile-exclusive game in 13 years.

The event will run only within the stated dates and Scopely provided these details in its official announcement.
