Players will first enter The Sift in Minecraft Dungeons II, which launches on September 29. The game’s opening events disrupt the Overworld, bringing new enemy types and flying souls into the world.
The Sift’s new rules and biomes
The Sift will have a colorful visual identity, unique companion and enemy mobs, and its own rules. Shifting tides will affect characters and their surroundings, while hazardous blocks will change how players explore.
Mojang has confirmed two biomes so far: Meadows and Carapace. Other areas remain undisclosed.
The Sift in Minecraft Dungeons II
Minecraft Dungeons II will provide an early look at the dimension’s mobs, blocks and biomes. Mojang has not yet explained how players will access The Sift in Minecraft or how that version will differ from its implementation in Dungeons II.
Minecraft Dungeons II launches for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. It will also be included with Game Pass and support Xbox Play Anywhere at no additional cost across console and PC.
