Marvel Television and Disney+ have released the official trailer for the solo series VisionQuest, starring Paul Bettany.

The show directly follows WandaVision and will complete the trilogy that also includes Agatha All Along. Its premiere is set for October 14 on Disney+.

White Vision searches for humanity

After being resurrected and escaping laboratories that tried to turn him into a weapon, Vision hides from the outside world, works in a pub and attempts to reconnect emotionally with his restored memories. He enters a digital realm shaped like an old mansion, where avatars of artificial intelligences reside.

The trailer also brings back Ultron, the villain from Avengers: Age of Ultron. James Spader returns to the role, with the character now existing inside Vision’s programming and acting as a cynical interlocutor.

Vision and Thomas Shepherd on the run

Vision’s quiet life ends when a bounty is placed on his head. He goes into hiding with teenager Thomas Shepherd, played by Ruarí Ó Móillica, who may be the reincarnation of Vision’s deceased son Tommy. They are pursued by the mercenary Paladin, played by Todd Stashwick.

Terry Matalas, known for the third season of Star Trek: Picard, serves as showrunner. VisionQuest will consist of eight episodes and is part of Marvel’s Phase Six.
