Xbox to host one-night Gears of War: E-Day event in Los Angeles

Xbox will hold a one-night Gears of War: E-Day event at Hollywood & Vine in Los Angeles on September 30 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific Time (22:00–05:00 UTC). The experience is being staged to celebrate the game’s launch.

Access is limited to the first 500 guests aged 18 and over. Attendees can play Gears of War: E-Day before Early Access begins, enter prize giveaways and receive themed food and drinks.

Emergence Day installations and activities

The event will feature an Emergence Hole and a Corpser statue. Guests can also visit a photo booth, receive an airbrush Gears of War tattoo and try themed food, treats and beverages.

Fans arriving in Gears of War merchandise or cosplay can enter prize opportunities. One listed prize is an Xbox Design Lab Gears of War: E-Day-inspired controller designed by illustrator and longtime collaborator Luke Preece.

Guests may begin queuing at 12 p.m. Pacific Time on September 30 (19:00 UTC). Entry is first come, first served, while guests wearing Gears of War merchandise will have access to a faster line.

The game is rated M for Mature, and the same age restriction applies to the event.
