Call My Agent! The Movie reunites original cast for film follow-up – Netflix release Sept 10 (CEST/UTC+2)

Call My Agent! has been adapted into a feature film that reunites most of the original cast and centers the story on Andréa and Noémie.

The film places Andréa (Camille Cottin) and Noémie (Laure Calamy) at the heart of events: five years after the TV series ended they reconvene to work on Andréa’s debut feature as writer‑director. The movie includes celebrity cameos from Laetitia Casta, Vincent Macaigne, Laurent Lafitte and George Clooney.

Directed by Émilie Noblet and written by Fanny Herrero, Lison Daniel and Violaine Bellet, the screenplay preserves the series’ fast, office‑comedy rhythm and packs industry‑insider jokes while avoiding smugness or over‑sentimentality. The filmmakers emphasise failure and chaotic mishaps as comic drivers.

In the story, Mathias (Thibault de Montalembert) now runs a small agency with his daughter Camille (Fanny Sidney); Mathias and Noémie are officially together. Noémie has become a producer of a hit TV show that resembles Call My Agent!, and because of Mathias’s complicated schemes she ends up producing Andréa’s film.

Returning characters include Gabriel (Grégory Montel), who has joined a rival, business‑focused agency, and comic stalwarts Arlette (Liliane Rovère) and Hervé (Nicolas Maury); Arlette is relatively underused until the final act. Andréa’s split from her partner Colette (Ophélia Kolb) introduces a custody dispute subplot.

The film’s momentum dips in the middle, but when the film‑within‑the‑film begins shooting and a cascade of on‑set disasters unfolds, the comedy regains its stride. Call My Agent! The Movie is on Netflix on Sept 10 (CEST/UTC+2).
