Unofficial Bloodborne PC port exceeds 200 FPS with DLSS
An unofficial PC port of Bloodborne exceeded 200 FPS with NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation. MxBenchmarkPC tested it on a GeForce RTX 4070, contrasting the results with the console version’s 30 FPS target.
An unofficial PC port of Bloodborne exceeded 200 frames per second with NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation. YouTube channel MxBenchmarkPC recorded the result while testing Super Medo’s port through the shadPS4 emulator on a GeForce RTX 4070.
At 1080p, the game surpassed 220 FPS. At 1440p with DLAA, it ran at about 130 FPS, while native 4K with DLAA averaged around 40 FPS.
4K DLSS test results
Enabling DLSS in Quality mode raised the 4K frame rate above 100 FPS. Performance mode produced approximately 120–130 FPS.
The figures contrast with Bloodborne’s original PlayStation 4 release, which targets 30 FPS. The console version also has inconsistent frame pacing, which can make movement appear less smooth even when the nominal frame rate is stable.
Further technical improvements
The community continues to improve the port. Some developers are also working on path-tracing support, which could substantially change the game’s lighting.
Based on the reported assessment, Bloodborne could reach at least 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 with relatively limited technical changes, but no official update has been released. FromSoftware is currently focused on other projects, including The Duskbloods for Nintendo Switch 2.
