Arc Raiders' final live update before Frozen Trails adds Raider Project, Hornet Hunter set and Cred expiry warning

Embark rolled out update 1.45.0 for Arc Raiders, containing various fixes, a new Raider Project, the start of Expedition V and the Hornet Hunter set. The studio said this is the last Live Update before the Frozen Trails release on October 8, although a smaller update is still planned before then.

The Raider Project tasks players with helping Apollo continue an experiment intended to let the team track phantom arc signals over the mountain range and beyond the tube system perimeter. Completing the project tasks will allow Apollo to finish his work on the device.

The project ties into Frozen Trails: the new map sits beyond the mountains currently out of reach for raiders, and once players access it in the Frozen Trails update they will be able to locate the origin of the arc signals and assess Shani’s concerns.

The update also adds community-made rubber ducks players can place in Bird City and their dens, including a confetti duck, a penguin-with-bowtie duck and an X-ray duck.

The most significant change announced is the retirement of Cred as a currency. Embark said it will introduce a more expansive reward system with Frozen Trails; all existing Raider Deck rewards will be available in the new system, and any rewards already claimed will remain with players after the update.

Cred will remain usable until October 8; any remaining Cred on accounts will expire and become unusable after that date. Embark encouraged players to spend leftover Cred before the deadline.

The studio reiterated that while this is the last major live update before Frozen Trails, a smaller update is planned prior to October 8.
