Apple’s rumored home hub will reportedly offer several display faces, including a Photo Face that shows the user’s images. The photos are said to come from iCloud Photos.

Users may be able to choose photo collections, Memories or shared albums. iCloud Photos must be enabled, and setup for the Photo Face is expected to appear when the device is activated.

Leak shows the hub’s first face

Leaker pdfu shared setup screens for the Photo Face. The leaker says the feature is the same one planned for the iPhone Duo, which could explain why Apple has not yet added the iPhone Duo’s StandBy mode to the Xcode simulator.

The images are the first reported view of a home hub face. The device is expected to have a 6-inch display, a square form and a metal half-dome base connected to the screen by an arm resembling the iMac G4 design.

Widgets without a full App Store

Earlier reports said the hub would not have a full App Store, but would support apps and widgets including Calendar, Weather, Music, Messages and Reminders.

The device is expected to detect when someone approaches and distinguish between people in the home, allowing it to show different widgets for each user. It may also offer several idle display options similar to iPhone StandBy.

Bloomberg reported that the interface is built heavily around clocks and photo slideshows. Earlier rumors have put the hub’s possible debut on October 13, though Apple has not confirmed the date.
