Apple has released the fourth developer beta of iOS 27.2 for iPhone. The iOS 27.2 public beta is now available as well following the developer release.

The update is positioned as the next major release after iOS 27. Apple is skipping iOS 27.1 for most models, with that version described as focused on iPhone Duo.

New iOS 27.2 features

The fourth beta adds the redesigned Health app Apple first showed during the iPhone 18 Pro event. Siri’s AI language support now includes French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.

In Apple Podcasts, Up Next has been renamed New Episodes, while Continue Playing now appears directly below it. Episode lists also use color-matched backgrounds.

Apple Music now uses less of an icon’s color for labels in the app.

Separate release for iPhone Duo

Apple has described the iOS 27.1 SDK as enabling developers to adapt apps to the iPhone Duo display. On September 18, Apple released Xcode 27.1 beta with an iPhone Duo simulator and support for developing apps for the new foldable iPhone.

Apple released the first iOS 27.2 public beta last month. The company said it would cover additional changes from the fourth beta separately.
