Apple and The King’s Trust have launched the Apple x King’s Trust Creative Labs initiative in the UK. The education programme offers workshops designed to build young people’s creative and digital skills.

The first cohort has already started sessions focused on the music industry and creative fields. It will include up to 20 participants aged 18 to 30.

Practical training and mentorship

The programme connects participants with Apple experts across industries, introduces career pathways and provides access to technology, resources, skills and mentorship intended to support employment prospects.

Apple said the initial workshops are aligned with the recent opening of Apple Music Hall. The partners plan to hold additional sessions and create further cohorts over the next year.

Apple’s partnership with The King’s Trust dates back to 2019. The organisations are also developing resources to improve AI literacy and help educators use new technologies in teaching.

Alisha Johnson Wilder, Apple’s senior director of Global Community Impact, said Creative Labs would connect young creators and innovators with Apple’s experts, technology and mentorship. Jonathan Townsend, The King’s Trust’s UK chief executive, described the initiative as a new chapter in the partnership focused on confidence and creative digital skills for employment.
