WhatsApp has made scheduled messages available to select iPhone beta testers. The iOS test began less than two weeks after the feature appeared in the Android beta.

To schedule a message, users type it in a chat and press and hold the send button. WhatsApp then opens date and time controls and displays the exact delivery time before confirmation.

Scheduling window spans two weeks

Messages can be scheduled from 10 minutes to two weeks ahead. They appear in a dedicated section of the chat or group information screen, while the scheduling confirmation is visible only to the person who created it.

The feature supports text, photos, videos and links. However, multiple photos or videos cannot currently be scheduled together; each media item must be scheduled separately.

In group chats, a scheduled message is delivered only to members who belonged to the group when it was created. People who join later will not receive it.

The feature is limited to selected testers and cannot be enabled manually. WhatsApp has not announced a public rollout date.
