NVIDIA has launched DSX Ready, a program that qualifies partner products and solutions against applicable requirements in NVIDIA DSX AI-factory reference designs.

The program starts with two categories: battery energy storage systems (BESS) and cooling distribution units (CDUs). Each technology has its own requirements and review process.

Initial qualified suppliers

Qualified BESS solutions at launch come from Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution and Tesla. Qualified CDU solutions come from LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv.

DSX Ready is intended to help builders identify and assess compatible components, while giving partners a defined process for showing that a specific offering meets the requirements for its category.

BESS and CDU qualification

BESS providers run required qualification tests and submit supporting data to NVIDIA for review and approval within a defined qualification boundary. Passing qualification does not replace site-level engineering or indicate site-level stability.

For CDUs, the process uses a self-qualification test suite to determine whether a specific offering meets NVIDIA’s applicable functional requirements. Builders must still assess how a qualified CDU fits their planned facility and configuration.

NVIDIA DSX combines the design and operation of AI factories across compute, networking, power, cooling, facilities and software. The company said additional infrastructure and software categories will be added to DSX Ready over time.
