Nintendo released a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, showing updated visuals, gameplay and new features. The game is scheduled for November 5, 2026, on Nintendo Switch 2.

One of the main additions is the Hall of Fallen Foes. It will let players view statues of enemies they have defeated, learn more about them and identify where each encounter took place.

Replayable boss battles

The remake will allow players to fight bosses again. The trailer showed King Dodongo, with the game recording the time taken to complete the rematch so players can compare results.

The ocarina remains a central mechanic. Players will perform melodies in the game and can also hum notes into a microphone; the game will recognize the melody and respond accordingly.

Zelda Notes app features

The Nintendo Switch App will include a map, mini-quests, the Hall of Fallen Foes, daily statistics, personal and global playthrough data, a photo gallery, amiibo support, an ocarina mode and an Ocarina of Time quiz.

Nintendo also showed more of the game world and its revised art style. On October 29, the company will release the Switch 2 console and a Pro Controller designed for The Legend of Zelda’s 40th anniversary.
