Apple has released macOS 27 Golden Gate to all Mac users. The update follows several months of beta testing and adds new Apple Intelligence capabilities across Apple’s system apps.

New features are available in Photos, Safari, Shortcuts and Finder. The release supports all Macs powered by Apple Silicon.

New Photos editing tools

In Photos, Spatial Reframing lets users change an image’s perspective after capture, while Extend expands a picture beyond its original edges. Apple has also introduced a more powerful version of Clean Up for removing people and objects from images.

Apple Intelligence comes to Safari

Safari can now automatically group tabs by topic. Its Notify Me feature sends push notifications when a website changes, including when prices change or previously unavailable products return to stock.

Describe an Extension creates a custom Safari extension from a natural-language prompt.

Shortcuts and Finder updates

In Shortcuts, users can describe an automation in natural language and have the app create it. They can refine the shortcut with further prompts or continue building it manually.

Finder can now suggest names for files and folders based on the content of the document or file.
