Apple may release iOS 27.2 in the last week of October, although it has not announced an exact date. The update has reportedly been in beta testing for several weeks, according to 9to5Mac.
The expected window is the week of October 26. The timing is linked to the iPhone Duo launch on October 23: the device is expected to ship with a separate iOS 27.1 build, while other iPhone models would skip that version and move directly to iOS 27.2.
iPhone Duo gets a separate iOS 27.1
The early testing schedule differs from Apple’s usual update cycle. The separate software version for iPhone Duo may allow Apple to avoid exposing details of the new device through public testing on other models.
Siri language support is another indication of an October release. Apple said French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish would be added the month after iOS 27 launched, and all five languages are already present in the current iOS 27.2 beta.
Updates across Apple apps
The update is expected to add profiles to Apple TV, Dual Capture for group FaceTime calls, new prompts in Messages, a redesigned Up Next section in Apple Podcasts and an updated Apple Books interface.
The release could come sooner if Apple’s upcoming home devices ship with iOS 27.2 installed. Their first deliveries are also reportedly expected in the last week of October, alongside the anticipated releases of tvOS 27.2 and HomePod 27.2.
Ukrainian users are expected to receive the update at the same time as users elsewhere because Apple generally does not delay such releases by region. Ukrainian is not among the new Siri languages listed for this update.
