ULTRALOQ has released the Bolt Mission, its first UWB smart lock compatible with Apple Home. The device is designed to unlock as the user approaches the door while the iPhone remains in a pocket.

The lock combines Bluetooth Low Energy, ultra-wideband connectivity and built-in radar-based presence sensing. It locally analyzes distance and direction to distinguish an actual approach from simply having an authorized iPhone nearby.

Bolt Mission operates without the cloud

The intent-detection logic runs between the iPhone and the lock without a cloud connection or a hub inside the home. The Xthings Home app runs in the background to support hands-free unlocking.

Two locks support Aliro

ULTRALOQ also introduced the Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro. Both are Aliro-Certified and support tap-to-unlock through Apple Wallet or Samsung Wallet, but they do not use Apple Home Key, Apple’s proprietary NFC-based system.

The Bolt Pro is designed for deadbolt doors, while the Latch 5 Pro is made for lever-style doors, including side entrances, garage-entry doors and home offices. Both models also support fingerprint access, PINs, app control and a physical-key backup.

All three models support Matter

All three locks are Matter-certified and work with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa and other platforms. The Bolt Mission, Bolt Pro and Latch 5 Pro are available through Amazon and directly from ULTRALOQ.
