Genshin Impact Version 7.2 ‘Hour of Ruin’ Launches November 4

miHoYo announced that Genshin Impact Version 7.2, titled “Hour of Ruin,” will launch on November 4.

The new Archon Quest brings representatives of all seven nations of Teyvat to Snezhnaya at the Tsaritsa’s request. Players will face a crisis linked to the Nails of Retribution and the Holy Soil phenomenon alongside the Archons, Neuvillette, and other allies.

Eastern Snezhnaya and new quests

The update opens a new region in eastern Snezhnaya. Players can take the railway to Novokitezhgrad, the underground nation’s main producer of Kresnik Kristall, then travel to Wingspan Peak and Old Kitezhgrad, Snezhnaya’s first city.

The region features contaminated Kresnik Kristall deposits, new Prime Ice Constructs, and two elemental shotguns. Additional content includes quests involving Danica and Mitya, as well as a battle against a colossal creature from the ocean depths.

Mitya and Valeriy join the roster

Mitya is a five-star Electro Catalyst user. He converts the party’s Superconduct reactions into Stellar-Conduct reactions, increases Stellar-Conduct damage, and can operate in both on-field and off-field roles.

Valeriy is a four-star Electro Sword user and a Major of the Armory Palace. He provides shields and increases Electro damage, particularly for teams built around Stellar-Conduct reactions.

Mitya and Valeriy will debut in the first phase of Event Wishes alongside a Furina rerun. The second phase will feature reruns for Zibai and Linnea, plus a new Chronicled Wish with selected Natlan characters.

Version 7.2 events and rewards

A limited-time event becomes available after progressing through the new Archon Quest, or immediately through Quick Start. Its objectives include rescuing wounded soldiers, relaying intelligence, and carrying out urgent containment missions. Rewards include Primogems, enhancement materials, and the option to invite any four-star character to the party.

Completing the Archon Quest during the designated period also grants 560 Primogems and Mitya’s Character Ascension Materials. Other activities include a filming event in Snezhnaya, a mining challenge in Natlan, and a new masquerade-themed Miliastra Wonderland lobby with a free four-star cosmetic set.
