Final Fantasy VII Revelation: final Remake entry launches on PS5 April 8, 2027

During PlayStation’s State of Play broadcast, Square Enix revealed extended gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Revelation and confirmed the PlayStation 5 release date as April 8, 2027.

The title is the concluding entry in the Final Fantasy VII Remake Series and features a vast open world with traversal via the iconic Highwind airship. The chocobo companion Piko returns as both a mount and a combat ally that grows and gains new abilities alongside the party.

Combat expands with the Function-Integrated Tactical Suitwear (FITS) system, offering four specialized suits — Warrior, Knight, Black Mage, and Summoner — that change move sets, combat roles and character appearance.

Revelation adds instant character switching while exploring and a grappling gun for rapid rooftop traversal. Players can assign certain quests to specific party members, affecting how particular story events and gameplay scenarios unfold.

The Queen’s Blood card game returns with a new campaign focused on Red XIII, introducing powerful new opponents and match‑altering mechanics.

Pre-orders are live on PlayStation Store; all editions include a pre-order bonus: Mecha-Chocobo & Moogle Summon Materia. The Final Fantasy VII Revelation Premium Edition bundles the main game, Story Expansion Pass, 24‑hour early access and several in-game items including the Reclaimant Choker. The Premium Plus Edition adds a digital art book, digital mini soundtrack, Polydroid Alexander Summon Materia, Nymphwing Bracelet armor and the Risk Taker’s Choker accessory.

The publisher says the release will deliver expanded overworld travel and a deeper combat system as the trilogy’s culminating entry.
