NVIDIA has opened early access on GitHub to its Factory Operations Blueprint (FOX), a toolkit for developers building industrial AI agents. The agents can coordinate machine operations and handle tasks including visual inspection, root-cause analysis, report generation and fleet management.
FOX agents can connect to NVIDIA Cosmos and Nemotron models, as well as engineering and manufacturing data from computer-aided design, product lifecycle management, simulation, IT and operational technology systems. Cosmos also allows them to adapt from examples and documentation without fine-tuning.
Siemens integrates agents into factory systems
Siemens is integrating FOX-based agents into its Intelligence Center X system. The company estimates potential cost savings of 20%; at its electronics factory in Erlangen, Cosmos Data Factory tools reduced inspection-process calibration time by 40%.
Simulation shortens engineering cycles
NVIDIA has also released the general-availability version of cuDSS for calculations involving structural stress, fluid flow, electromagnetic fields and semiconductor devices. Mercedes-Benz uses NVIDIA GPUs for faster aerodynamic simulations, while Cadence is assessing them for automotive computational-fluid-dynamics workloads.
In semiconductor projects, imec reported up to a 40x speedup for S-Litho, while Infineon achieved a 12x speedup in three-dimensional breakdown simulation using CUDA libraries.
Digital twins test production systems
Audi uses a battery-production digital twin to test manufacturing concepts before physical equipment is available. At Volkswagen Sachsen, Wandelbots uses NOVA and Isaac Sim to validate assembly workflows digitally and prepare applications for physical robots.
Schneider Electric and AVEVA are developing an AI-factory digital twin for Nscale. It is intended to help engineers compare power, cooling and equipment configurations before changing physical infrastructure.
