Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Free Edgerunners 2 Update With Dual Wielding and a New Quest
Cyberpunk 2077’s free Edgerunners 2 Update (patch 2.5) launched on October 22, 2026. It adds an anime-inspired quest, dual-wielding and support for community mods.
The free Edgerunners 2 Update for Cyberpunk 2077 went live on October 22, 2026. Patch 2.5 is available on PC, macOS, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The release adds an anime-inspired quest, a combat option that lets players fire two pistols or revolvers, and tools for changing cyberware’s appearance. It also introduces community mod support through mod.io.
Quest and anime-inspired items
In the new mission, V crosses paths with mercenary Weak Kingsley and his crew. CD PROJEKT RED says the quest serves as a prequel to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, which premiered on Netflix on October 20.
The update includes Kingsley’s outfit, his Coronation revolver and the HKGN 102.FM radio station, featuring tracks from both anime series. Players can also equip two weapons at once.
Customization and other additions
Five new “glamdoc” vendors offer 40 cyberware appearance options. The update also adds 20 hairstyles, new clothing sets and 12 minor arcana tarot cards.
Players can browse and install supported community mods through a new in-game panel. Other additions include Night City Tours, stash filters, separate save libraries for each V, and new Photo Mode poses and frames.
Xbox availability
Cyberpunk 2077 now supports Xbox Play Anywhere: one digital purchase provides access on Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, with saves carrying over between platforms. The developers said the game is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 “soon”; legacy Xbox One versions are no longer supported.
