Apple releases first public beta of macOS 27.2 Golden Gate
Apple has begun distributing the first public beta of macOS 27.2 Golden Gate after releasing its second developer beta. Build 26B5091g includes expanded Siri AI language support.
Apple has released the first public beta of macOS 27.2 Golden Gate. It follows the second developer beta, which the company released one day earlier.
The public beta carries build 26B5091g, matching macOS 27.2 Golden Gate developer beta 2.
Siri AI adds five languages
The most notable change in the current beta is expanded Siri AI language support. Alongside English, the assistant supports French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.
Apple had previously promised these languages for October. The company also skipped the macOS 27.1 beta cycle and released the first macOS 27.2 developer beta last week.
Possible link to iPhone Duo
The move may be connected to the iPhone Duo, which is scheduled to launch October 23 with iOS 27.1. The source suggests that iOS 27.1 may focus mainly on features for the new foldable device, while Apple moved its other operating systems directly to 27.2 for beta testing.
Apple’s public beta program is free. Users can sign up at beta.apple.com.
