Apple plans to hold a two-day product showcase for content creators in Los Angeles on October 27–28. The event is expected to feature new Mac computers and an iPad mini, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported.
It will not be a traditional Apple presentation with a livestream. Gurman described the gathering as an in-person product experience, similar to an event Apple is holding in New York on October 13.
Expected MacBook Pro models
Apple is expected to announce 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models around October 27. Reported features include OLED displays, touchscreen support, M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, Dynamic Island and a “significantly lighter” design.
Apple may also add its C1X or C2 modem for built-in cellular connectivity, although the source does not confirm that either modem will reach the final products.
New iPad mini and Mac Studio
The expected iPad mini 8 could include an OLED display, an A20 Pro chip, a landscape-oriented front camera, a redesigned speaker system and water resistance.
Apple previously said it would release a Mac Studio with 512GB of RAM in “late October,” putting its launch in roughly the same period.
Gurman said this will likely be Apple’s final major launch of 2026. Before then, on October 13, Apple is expected to unveil the all-new HomeView smart-home hub, HomePod mini 2 and an updated Apple TV 4K.
