Apple has officially introduced a new Apple Music brand identity following the recent redesign of the service’s logo and app icon.
The visual system shifts from red to a black-and-white color scheme. Apple linked the update to the Liquid Glass interface introduced in last year’s iOS 26 and macOS Tahoe updates.
Visuals created with sound
In a YouTube video, Apple said the new brand elements were “made by sound.” For the project, the company played sound through a container of water, causing the liquid to move at the notes’ frequencies, while Apple Music elements were placed behind the vibrating water.
Apple worked on the project with British record producer Fred Again and NEST Acoustics.
Full rollout expected next week
The identity is due to roll out fully with Apple’s next software releases, including iOS 27.2 and macOS 27.2. The source says those updates are expected next week, but gives no specific date.
