Apple has begun selling a limited-edition version of AirPods 5 in India with an engraving inspired by the traditional rangoli art form. The release is tied to the country’s Diwali festive season.

The charging case features a decorative pattern arranged around a heart-eyes emoji. The earbuds are priced at ₹17,900, the same price as regular AirPods 5 with a Wireless Charging Case.

Sales run through November 2026

Sales began October 11 and will continue through November 11, 2026, while supplies last. Customers can order through Apple’s online store and Apple Store app, or buy the earbuds at the company’s six retail locations in India.

Apple limits purchases to two pairs per customer. The limited edition is excluded from other AirPods promotions and from Business, Education and Corporate Employee Purchase Plan pricing.

Apple’s purchase terms also warn that repairs or replacements may involve standard AirPods 5 with a Wireless Charging Case, depending on availability.

Free rangoli workshops accompany release

Apple is also offering free rangoli workshops created with artist Arushi Kathuria. Participants will use Procreate on an iPad with an Apple Pencil and a custom brush designed to recreate the appearance of powder.

The sessions run from October 14 through November 9 in India and at selected locations in the United States, Canada, Malaysia and Singapore.
