GMKtec has launched the Evo-X5 Pro mini PC with AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor, also known as Gorgon Halo, and 192GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory.

The 4TB SSD configuration costs $7,099, while the 2TB version is priced at $6,799. That price puts the system beyond the reach of typical buyers.

16 cores and boost up to 5.2GHz

The Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 offers 16 cores and 32 threads, with a 3.1GHz base clock and boost speeds of up to 5.2GHz. It has 64MB of L3 cache and uses only larger Zen 5 cores, without Zen 5c cores.

The Evo-X5 Pro provides three performance profiles: 54W in quiet mode, 85W in balanced mode and 120W in performance mode. Peak power consumption reaches 160W. Cooling combines a vapor chamber with one 80×80×15mm fan and two additional 80×80×30mm fans.

192GB aimed at local AI models

The memory consists of eight soldered 24GB modules. A 256-bit memory bus delivers bandwidth of up to 273GB/s, although the system can allocate only up to 160GB as video memory for large AI models.

The mini PC has three M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots and supports up to 24TB of storage. Two slots operate at x4, while the third is limited to x1.

The Evo-X5 Pro will compete with the Acemagic F9A and Minisforum MS-S1 Max-P495, which also use the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495.
